There’s a world out there – a world of opportunities. We frequently include a set of externally shot images in our longer headshot sessions, weather permitting. Sometimes this can add relevant context, invariably there are different lighting opportunities.
Often the outdoors shots will cross the line between a headshot and a portrait.
Headshot Background Options
Whilst we could fairly easily offer a range of coloured backgrounds, most frequently headshots tend to have neutral, uncoloured backgrounds; white, grey, or black.
There are good reasons for this but generally these colours work well for the maximum number of applications, whether it’s for profile shots or to accompany a press release; these backgrounds are unlikely to clash with whatever surrounds the image.
Overall these three options cover a lot of ground and allow for a range of photographic expression.
