Olivia visited the Devon Headshot studio recently in Southernhay, Exeter, and it was a fabulous session.
This was an extended session where we allowed ourselves the time to explore a few ideas.
Nowadays most digital shots start as a colour file; I seriously considered a Leica Monochrom but, it is seriously expensive! So files need to be converted to monochrome and these images were taken very much with black and white output in mind.
Part of the self imposed constraint was to use a simple one light setup in this case my beautiful Bowens Octo 90 (BW-1640). It’s a fantastic light source with a deeper profile than many, the strobe sits in pointing rearwards, just a great light.
